They increased the opening pressure (the pressure drop across the filtration media) from ~15 PSI up to ~22 PSI minimum. Oil filter AC PF 63 or AC PF 63E. According to the vendor GM discontinued the 63E Filter and now the 63 is OK for 2018 GMC 5.3 sierra or silverado. According to specs the 63 bypass opens at +- 22 psi where as the 63E bypass opens at 28 psi. If you use the 63 the bypass may remain open all the time.If you google TSB #15-00-90-002A it lists some specs for the PF63E. 98% single pass efficiency at 25-30 microns, etc I would also worry more about the combo valve than I would about the dome poppet valve in the AC Delco.
