I think (maybe) it wasn't well seated at the factory. I took it off, looking for cracks or obvious defects in the woodworking. Then put it back in place, with a good slap to the butt to seat it well. Re-tightened the bolt and (so far) it is tight.We found that on the .38/357 Rossi the magazine follower for the .25-20/.32-20 Winchester Model 92 is just right. It is the same diameter and length as the plastic thing the Rossi's use. It is a tad smaller on the inside, but I was able to easily "thread" the magazine spring into it.
