By 36 weeks I was 4cm. Finally induced at 39 weeks because I was effaced head engaged and almost 6cm but no labor signs. I worked 40 hours a week 3rd shift up until the night I delivered (I'm a nurse).I have been at 1.5 cm since 28 weeks and am now 33 weeks. I've gone from 50 % to 75% effaced over the last couple of weeks. You can basically hang out for months. I'm still having the cramping and Braxton-Hicks contractions, but I'm trying to wait until next Wednesday morning when my appointment is.Posted 05-13-09. I'm due June 1st, so timing wise the baby is okay to come now but... As of Monday I was a "strong 5 cm dilated with a very soft cervix, on my way to 6 cm," according to the doctor ....
