I purchased a rough rider 2-tone 6 shot 2 weeks ago. so far i have been very happy with it, and fired probably 100 rounds through it at least already. Issue arose on Sunday while plinking with my son.rough rider are hit and miss on quality mine seams to have more misfires than the wrangler but part of that is cheap ammo. the wrangler is made much better and seams to be more reliable. i have both and some days i prefer the rough rider over the wrangler as a range toy due to having the extra 22wmr cylinder.Not aftermarket. Ordered right from their website. It's their .22lr engraved cylinder. This problem also occurs on the normal 22lr cylinders too. I recently purchased a 9 shot Rough Rider. It has the same issue. I'd imagine a decent gun smith could do some grinding work on the cylinder to get it to function properly..
