This is a 15' drill on 7.5" spacing so 24 seed cups. So first subtract the 1 oz weight of the two drawstring bags I use to catch the seed leaving 6 oz. 6 oz x 12 because 2 cups out of 24 on the drill is 1/12th of the total. 72 oz x 10 to correct for the 1/10th acre. 720/16= 45 #/acre or close enough for me..
