Although rare, weight loss was slightly more common than weight gain in clinical trials for Lamictal. Lamictal is awesome, it helped me control the ocd urge to eat when I'm bored. The weight loss started about a month in (on 50 mg) and has continued as my dose increases (100mg right now) but food is still exciting and yummy so it doesn't take an appetite away :)!.
